Our Story: Shaping Africa's Narrative

For over a decade, CrownRoute Africa Network has been at the forefront of African journalism, delivering trusted, comprehensive, and transformative news coverage across the continent.

Our Story

From humble beginnings to becoming Africa's most trusted media network

Founded in 2010, Born from a Vision

CrownRoute Africa Network began as a small digital publication with a bold vision: to create a pan-African media house that would tell Africa's stories from an African perspective. Our founders, veteran journalists from across the continent, saw the need for a media platform that would go beyond stereotypes and showcase Africa's complexity, diversity, and dynamism.

What started as a team of five journalists working from a shared office in Nairobi has grown into a network of over 300 dedicated professionals across 25 African countries. Today, we reach millions of readers daily through our digital platforms, television partnerships, and radio broadcasts.

Our growth has been fueled by a commitment to journalistic integrity, innovative storytelling, and deep investment in African talent. We've pioneered new forms of digital journalism on the continent while maintaining the highest standards of factual reporting.
